I have for the first time in nearly 25 years have picked up my calligraphy pen and have begun writing again with it. This medium has always been fun for me and I am happy to have picked it up again. Examples of practice work are attached to this post. Even with knocking over a bottle of black ink on a practice piece. I’m sure it won’t be the first time nor the last.

I am a living history reenactor focusing on the 16th Century period.
Part of my portrayal could be anything from cooking over the fire, sewing for myself or my household, weaving, or working the artillary line as either Captayne of a piece or as Master Gunner.
I was brought into the SCA by my Laurel, Master Roderic Hawkyns, and the first thing that he gave me when he saw that I was serious is a book on life in Elizabethan England, inside he wrote: before I can live the history, I need to first know the history. Over the last 12+ years I have been reading, learning, and living the history. Something that I am very proud of.
